Liz Lemon
According to me 30 Rock is probably the latest comical sensation after the greats like Seinfeld, the Simpsons, Scrubs and FRIENDS .
Tina Fey as Liz Lemon is phenomenal. Liz is a 30+ woman living in New York. She is balancing her work life involving the crazy actors of her show, her boss the VP of GE and her almost non-existent love life.
Tina does what most women are afraid to do. She makes fun of herself. Women can relate to her character at many levels…she is not the party person who wears designer clothes and buys designer bags. She is just a regular girl with no frills.. She is confident and self assured.
This makes me wonder if her confident nature is the reason for her low love life? Are men afraid of confident and intelligent women? I do think that incompetent guys with low self esteem have a hard time dealing with the fact that women can have strong personalities as well. They mostly tend to prefer dumb bimbos . They prefer women who always play damsel in distress and need to be saved by a man!!!
Alas Liz Lemon is no such woman….though she does have her share of drama in life..she is perfectly capable of handling her life all by herself.
I would like to pay a tribute to women all over the world like Liz.. who work hard and have a very confident head over their shoulders.
Men around the world need to realize that women these days are as competent as them and that they should not feel threatened and instead should encourage women to be independent and strong!

Funny Stories
Story 1: This is about Yash's revenge
Yash was a young boy around 8-9 years old.. he was very naughty and played the fool at all times...
an incident in his life changed him forever...
when Yash was playing in his neighbourhood a ferocious mutt attacked him... it bit his leg... this incident scarred Yash for life...
Present day... Yash seeks revenge against all mutt's... he's scarred... he's still afraid of all dogs and does not go near them... he does not even visit his friends who have dogs at home :P
He tries to kill dogs with his car... he tries to run over them......
He has already killed 1 dog in this manner.....
It was one of the most hilarious stories I have heard in a long time..... he is filled with vengeance against dogs!!! hehehe..........though very sad at many levels... it can make u think as to the amount of hurt the dog caused him by biting him when he was young.
Incidents at young ages can scar our lives... we just need to look forward and move on... grudges donot help anyone and do not solve any problems!!!!!
Stroy 2: Shwetha brings in a dead butterfly... I kinda find that very wierd........I ask her why she has a dead butterfly in her hand??? She says shw want to give it a funeral........
I find that extremely wierd... it was a Friday... then on Monday I ask her... what she did with the butterfly....... she says that she could not give the butterfly a funeral yet.... she has kept it in her freezer....I'm aghast!!!!!!!!what??????? a dead butterfly in her freezer....yuck...disgusting...
But I realise her love of that little creature and her respect for it.... I could never do something like that... but I am proud of her... any person who can respect and take care of a dead butterfly is truly an amazing person I think...
RIP for the butterly..!!

Sweet Surprise
Without giving out much details i would like to say that I had pre-conceived notions about a certain section of our country... They were outsiders in my land and I did not like them!!!
However a sweet talker changed my mind completely about this section.... I realised how foolish I have been with these assumptions.. They too are human and are loving, sweet people I realised...
Another notion I had was the fact that I could never get along with people younger than me...i rationalised it saying they were too childish in their behavior and actions... something that I can never tolerate...
After few days of close proximity with the youngsters...read 2-3 yrs younger than me... I realised how wrong my assumption had been....these youngsters were neither kidish nor were they stupid...They were very much in control of the situation and had good ideas.. they were professional and intelligent.... I was very happy with their attitude....
All I ant to say is that I truly believe now...that "Never judge a book by its cover makes a lot of sense"....Im truly impressed by these youngsters... they have a long way to go!!!!

Friends and Life
It has been nearly 2 months since I have got back from France.. I am still to meet many of my friends......... most of them are busy with their own lives and I don't want to impose..The only thing that came to my mind when I was abroad sitting alone in my room was the fact that I had such great friends back home.....I still do... ignoring the fact that the same friends have not yet come to meet me or make sometime to call and say "Hi"... but that really does'nt matter to me.. coz I know that...few friends though are caught up in their own world's will always be there for me...no matter what...
Important lesson: Think about what exactly is important in your life... follow everything possible to reach that goal.......then you will be truly happy!!
I realised the 3 most important things in my life today
Family, Food and Friends.........the 3f's I cannot live without!!
PS: TO all my amazing friends... I Love u guys a lot........ I might not tell this to u individually...but I really do :) . This post is completely about friendships and should not be considered otherwise!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Any harm caused by this post is regretted..and hope that it does not cause any mis-understandings

Love Fool
you love me no longer, I know
and maybe there is nothing
that i can do to make you do
Mama tells me I shouldn't bother
that I ought to stick to another man
a man that surely deserves me
but I think you do
So I cry, I pray and I beg
Love me, love me
say that you love me
fool me, fool me
go on and fool me
love me, love me
pretend that you love me
leave me, leave me
just say that you need me
Love me love me
say that you love me
leave me leave me
just say that you need me
I can't care 'bout anything but you......
Lately I have desperately pondered
spent my nights awake and I wonder
what I could have done in another way
to make you stay
Reason is not key to solution
I will end up lost in confusion
I don't care if you really care
as long as you don't go
So I cry, I pray and I beg
Love me, love me
say that you love me
fool me, fool me
go on and fool me
love me, love me
pretend that you love me
leave me, leave me
just say that you need me
Love me love me
say that you love me
leave me leave me
just say that you need me
I can't care 'bout anything but you..
An amazing song...Love Fool.... when I think of this song...the only thing that crosses my mind is the fact that we are all Love Fool's...each and every one of us... no matter what we cling to people who either don't belong to us anymore or they never did... I have always been a Love Fool..clinging onto people who never knew how I felt for them... I was too scared to reveal my true feelings for these people......I was too scared to be vulnerable...too scared to later be broken.....but I never let go....I was a Love Fool...... but looking back today....I realise how much these men have influenced every decision in my life....right from me choosing engineering to now doing my Business studies.... I am in many ways thankful for having loved these men in my life...because it is because of them that I am moving closer towards my destiny.......I hope that all this pain and suffering leads to joy and happiness and that I will find that One true love.......who is meant to be.
I dont know what the future holds.... but I am thankful for my past...cause I am living a life without any regrets... and that is something I will always find solace in!!
I would not like to reveal much about these men...though there are only 2 of them... they are happy and leading very successful lives and I can only wish the very best for them.........they have inspired me, brought a great amount of happiness into my life and without knowing are paving a way towards MY destiny........for all this and more I am very thankful to them..........and always will be............ I am a Love Fool..... and always will be!!

Stepping on Fire
The broad shoulders, the tall frame, the charm, the persona...all captured my heart. It was'nt long before my friends came to know about this "crush". Everything in the world seemed so wonderful....I had met an amazing human being...everything in the world seemed right.....so beautiful an lovely just like him. Office did not seem as boring as it used to.
Everyone started observing my fascination for him. Alas it was not too long before "everyone" knew what was happenin....!! However unlike other times..this never seemed to bother me.
Few days later an accidental online page view showed me something i never wanted to see........Relationship Status : Married... "I was heart broken"... might be too much.... I did feel sad though.... seeing that a man..i really liked already belonged to another lucky woman.
But does that mean... I should stop loving him????? just because he is married... i thought to myself... no.. my love for him is eternal... he had become a very important part of my life...even without him knowing about it.......but he had... he still is and will always remain that way......
To my dearest "Teddy" ... you will always be special to me!! On our 1.5 yrs anniversary... remembering you a lot today... missing you a lot today!!

Re-Bonding!!!
After several years ... okay maybe 4-5 ...i've begun bonding with two of my cousins again.
Not that we were'nt close before... but this time its real.. its the real thing..
We used to be kids when we used to hang around before... guess kids do that a lot.. they just need playmates.. they dont care bout the actual person.. as long as they share their toys with you...kids are fine...
Now we're all grown up.. doing grown up things like having a job.. responsibility and all that c***.
Never realised that my cousins could be my best friends too.. now I have(well better late than never) .
We have grown soo close that past couple of months that I could'nt have imagined this a ... and we're havin a blast!!!
All of us are of the same age.. just a couple of months apart.. so we have a lot in common..
We have loads of fun together... even a simple drive in the car is filled with laughter and fun!!
Just a few weeks back had been to Mysore.. where one of my cousin stays... had been boating in a lake... gone to Lalith Mahal palace and ordered an icecream for 200/- ... (Phew!!!)
But all of it was fun.. especially the long drive from Bangalore to Mysore and back..The stop at Cafe coffee day on the way was just amazing..My cousin is an excellent driver and the most enthu person I've met in my life!!
The three of us have re-bonded in a way.. i've never even dreamt of... so its kind of a pleasant surprise...
Hope we stay the same forever... and never change.. or maybe change for the better... :)
Realised something very important in life... BLOOD IS THICKER THAN WATER!!!!
Believe me...
Love u guys... Akhila & Sandeep
Hope this re-bonding does not have to happen again... coz we will stay in touch always!!
Thank you for the most amazing experiences...in such simple ways... Once again love u guys!!

The Man Who Can't Be MOVED.... Most romantic song!!!
1. The voice of the lead singer.
2. The lyrics are sooooo beautiful.
3. The guy can't get over his love for the girl.
4. He actually says he'll wait for her till she changes her mind. (hmmmmmmmmmm)
5.He seems pretty confident that she'll come back to him... is'nt that what love is all about?? Hope and Faith???
What an amazing song... kudos to the writers!!!
For your benefit the lyrics:
Going back to the corner where I first saw you, Gonna camp in my sleeping bag I'm not gonna move,
Got some words on cardboard got your picture in my hand, Saying if you see this girl can you tell her where I am,
Some try to hand me money they don't understand, I'm not...broke I'm just a broken hearted man,
I know it makes no sense, but what else can I do,
How can I move on when I'm still in love with you...
Cos if one day you wake up and find that you're missing me, And your heart starts to wonder where on this earth I can be,
Thinking maybe you'll come back here to the place that we'd meet, And you'd see me waiting for you on the corner of the street.
So I'm not moving... I'm not moving.
Policeman says son you can't stay here, I said there's someone I'm waiting for if it's a day, a month, a year,
Gotta stand my ground even if it rains or snows,
If she changes her mind this is the first place she will go.
Cos if one day you wake up and find that you're missing me,
And your heart starts to wonder where on this earth I can be,
Thinking maybe you'll come back here to the place that we'd meet,
And you'd see me waiting for you on the corner of the street.
So I'm not moving... I'm not moving.I'm not moving... I'm not moving.
People talk about the guy....Who's waiting on a girl...
Oohoohwoo
There are no holes in his shoes....But a big hole in his world...
Hmmmm
And maybe I'll get famous as man who can't be moved,
And maybe you won't mean to but you'll see me on the news,
And you'll come running to the corner... Cos you'll know it's just for you
I'm the man who can't be moved
I'm the man who can't be moved...
Cos if one day you wake up and find that you're missing me,
And your heart starts to wonder where on this earth I can be,
Thinking maybe you'll come back here to the place that we'd meet,
And you'd see me waiting for you on the corner of the street..
So I'm not moving... I'm not moving.I'm not moving... I
'm not moving.
Going back to the corner where I first saw you,
Gonna camp in my sleeping bag not I'm not gonna move.

HE CHANGED MY LIFE

The man I am talking about is the great Paulo Coelho the author of the Alchemist…
The Brazilian author PAULO COELHO was born in 1947 in the city of Rio de Janeiro. Before dedicating his life completely to literature, he worked as theatre director and actor, lyricist and journalist.
Coelho wrote song lyrics for many famous performers in Brazilian music, such as Elis Regina and Rita Lee. Yet his most well known work has been done with Raul Seixas. Together they wrote such successes as Eu nasci há dez mil anos atrás (I was born ten thousand years ago), Gita and Al Capone, amongst other 60 songs.
His fascination with the spiritual quest dates back to his hippie days, when he travelled the world learning about secret societies, oriental religions, etc.
In 1982 Coelho published his first book, Hell Archives, which failed to make any kind of impact. In 1985 he contributed to the Practical Manual of Vampirism, although he later tried to take it off the shelves, since he considered it “of bad quality”. In 1986, PAULO COELHO did the pilgrimage to Saint James of Compostella, an experience later to be documented in his book The Pilgrimage.
In the following year, COELHO published The Alchemist. Slow initial sales convinced his first publisher to drop the novel, but it went on to become one of the best selling Brazilian books of all time.
Other titles include Brida (1990), The Valkyries (1992), By the river Piedra I sat Down and Wept (1994), the collection of his best columns published in the Brazilian newspaper Folha de São Paulo entitle Maktub (1994), the compilation of texts Phrases (1995), The Fifth Mountain (1996), Manual of a Warrior of Light (1997), Veronika decides to die (1998), The Devil and Miss Prym (2000), the compilation of traditional tales in Stories for parents, children and grandchildren (2001), Eleven Minutes (2003), The Zahir (2005)
He also adapted The Gift (Henry Drummond) and Love letters of a prophet (Kalil Gibran).
To date, Coelho has sold a total of 85 million copies and, according to the magazine Publishing Trends; he was the most sold author in the world in 2003 with his book Eleven Minutes – even though at the time it hadn’t been released in the United States, Japan or 10 other countries!
Also according to Publishing Trends, The Alchemist was to be found in the 6th place of world sales in 2003. Eleven Minutes topped all lists in the world, except for England, where it was in second place. The Zahir, published in 2005, was in third place of bestsellers according to Publishing Trends, after Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons.
The Alchemist was one of the most important literary phenomena of the 20th century. It reaches the first place in bestselling lists in 18 countries, and so far has sold 30 million copies.
The book has been praised by different personalities ranging from the Nobel Prize Kenzaburo Oe to the singer Madonna, who considers it one of her favourite books. It has equally inspired many projects – such as a musical in Japan, theatre plays in France, Belgium, USA, Turkey, Italy, Switzerland. It is also the theme of two symphonies (Italy and USA) and had its text illustrated by the famous French artist Moebius (author of the sceneries for he Fifth Element and Alien).
His work has been translated in 65 languages and edited in more than 150 countries.
A Norwegian community, Arendal, gave copies of The Alchemist to all its civil servants, as a way of stimulating a new type of thought.
Many MBA courses, such as the one from The Graduate School of Business of the University of Chicago recommends the reading of The Alchemist to its students. This book has equally been adopted in schools in France, Italy, Portugal, Brazil, Taiwan, USA, Spain, etc.
The illustrated edition of The Alchemist, made by the artist Moebius, has already been released in many countries.
The book The Alchemist has been adopted in schools in more than 30 countries, offering special editions to students.
PAULO COELHO has managed to have three titles at the same time in bestselling lists in France, Brazil, Poland, Switzerland, Argentina, Greece, Croatia, and Russia.
The pope John Paulo II welcomed the author in the Vatican in 1998.
The World Economic Forum gave its most important prize to the author, the Crystal
Award.
The Alchemist picked up a book that someone in the caravan had brought. Leafing through the pages, he found a story about Narcissus. The alchemist knew the legend of Narcissus, a youth who daily knelt beside a lake to contemplate his own beauty. He was so fascinated by himself that, one morning, he fell into the lake and drowned. At the spot where he fell, a flower was born, which was called the narcissus. But this was not how the author of the book ended the story. He said that when Narcissus died, the Goddesses of the Forest appeared and found the lake, which had been fresh water, transformed into a lake of salty tears. "Why do you weep?" the Goddesses asked. "I weep for Narcissus," the lake replied. "Ah, it is no surprise that you weep for Narcissus," they said, "for though we always pursued him in the forest, you alone could contemplate his beauty close at hand." "But..... was Narcissus beautiful?" the lake asked."Who better than you to knowthat?" the Goddesses said in wonder, "After all, it was by your banks that he knelt each day to contemplate himself!!" The lake was silent for some time. Finally it said:
"I weep for Narcissus, but I never noticed that Narcissus was beautiful. I weep because, each time he knelt beside my banks, I could see, in the depths of his eyes, my own beauty reflected.""What a lovely story," the alchemist thought.
Beautiful Quotes From Paulo Coelho
"One is loved because one is loved. No reason is needed for loving."
“The wise are wise only because they love. The fool are fools only because they think they can understand love.”
"Every blessing ignored becomes a curse”
"They were seeking out the treasure of their destiny, without actually wanting to live out their destiny.”
“The biggest mistake of the man is that he thinks he doesn't deserve the good and the bad things from his life.”
The Soul of the World is nourished by people's happiness. And also by unhappiness, envy, and jealousy. To realize one's Personal Legend is a person's only real obligation. All things are one. And, when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.”
“Never abandon your dreams. Follow the signs.”
“It’s precisely the possibility of making a dream come true that makes life interesting.”
“We need to forget what we think we are, so that we can really become what we are.”

Best Seinfeld Quotes
An amazing comedy show which makes you cry from laughter…. An epitome of NOTHING… a very different type of comedy…. Nothing like this show ever happened before and might never happen again…. Enjoy these wonderful Seinfeld quotes!!!!
Jerry:A recent survey stated that the average person's greatest fear is having to give a speech in public. Somehow this ranked even higher than death which was third on the list. So, you're telling me that at a funeral, most people would rather be the guy in the coffin than have to stand up and give a eulogy.

Kramer on marriage: wise words from Kramer

JERRY: Really?
KRAMER: Yeah, and you can forget about watching TV while you're eating.
JERRY: I can?
KRAMER: Oh, yeah. You know why? Because it's dinner time. And you know what you do at dinner?
JERRY: What?
KRAMER: You talk about your day. How was your day today? Did you have a good day today or a bad day today? Well, what kind of day was it? Well, I don't know. How about you? How was your day?
JERRY: Boy.
KRAMER: It's sad , Jerry. It's a sad state of affairs..
JERRY: I'm glad we had this talk.
KRAMER: Oh, you have no idea.

After 72 hours of non stop cigar smoking.
Kramer: (looking at his reflection in a toaster) Im all craggly!
Jerry: What'd you expect? You've experienced a lifetime of smoking in 72 hours!
Kramer: Emphysima, Birth defects, cancer ... but not this ... look away Jerry, I'm hideous!
George-"JERRY, JUST REMEMBER, IT'S NOT A LIE IF YOU BELIEVE IT"
George-"You know I always wanted to pretend I was an architect."
George-"Why can't I have a heart attack? I'm allowed!"
George-"Pity's very underrated. I like pity. It's good."
George-"I always get the feeling that when lesbians look at me, they're thinking, 'That's why I'm not a heterosexual.'"
George-"You should've seen her face. It was the exact same look my father gave me when I told him I wanted to be a ventriloquist."
George-"It became very clear to me sitting out there today that every decision I've made in my entire life has been wrong. My life is the complete opposite of everything I want it to be. Every instinct I have, in every aspect of life, be it something to wear, something to eat - it's all been wrong."

My name is Mayura

A name is probably the most important aspect for any person…its something he’s identified by for the rest of his/her life(unless he/she changes it).
My mom was responsible for naming me and my dad gave her complete freedom to keep a name of her choice… My mom named me Mayura…Many relatives gave many suggestions but from day one she had made up her mind....
When I asked her about it…she said that even as a young girl she had decided that she would name her child Mayura(i.e if it were a girl child)…
Like many others I know I was always very curious about my name….wanted to know about its origins, its meaning etc etc…
The only thing that I knew about my name was its meaning….Mayura in Sanskrit means “peacock”. I absolutely loved my name because of its meaning…The peacock is such a beautiful bird and also our National bird…
But my name goes beyond all that…….My friends always poked fun at my name because of the large number of Hotels named Mayura…not only in Karnataka,Andra Pradesh…but rest of the country..They used to say that they would probably get free accommodation in these hotels if I would tag along….
Anyway the reason I wanted to write about my name was to inform them that my name has several meanings and history associated with it…its not just the name of possibly all hotels in India and abroad( FYI: I found out that there is a Mayura Lounge in Barcelona) .
However to my surprise I found that there are even software named Mayura , Yoga postures ,dance forms, kings ,Chinese cartoons etc etc… Read On…. And also you’ll be surprised as to what you find when you give your name for Google Search…. Ofcourse it needs to be popular just like mine…
Details I found through Google Search!!!!
Mayura (a Sanskrit word for peacock) is one of the sacred and highly sanctified birds of the Hindu mythology and find references in a number of Hindu scriptures
The legend states that the Mayura was created from the feathers of Garuda, another semi-divine mythical birds of Hindu mythology. Garuda is believed to be a vahana (conveyance) of Vishnu, one of the Trimurti. In images of the Mayura as a mythical bird, it is depicted as killing a snake, which according to a number of Hindu scriptures, is a symbol of cycle of time.
Significance
Mayura is associated with a number of gods and deities of the Hindus including the following:
It is a vahana(vehicle) of Sarasvati, the goddess of speech and learning. Goddess Kaumari is generally depicted with a Mayura and Mayura also serves as her conveyance. A Mayura also serves as a conveyance of the god Kartikeya. Krishna is generally depicted with peacock feathers adorning his head.
In general, feathers of Mayura are considered sacred and are used to dust the religious images and implements of Hindus.
Ofcourse there were several other stories but don’t wont to bug you anymore…..this is enough…if you haven’t tried to Google search your name do it!!! Its FUN……
The picture you see is that of a Chinese or Japanese(I don’t know) cartoon named Mayura… cool !!!!!

A Crappy No 1
Considering the fact that this track is my current favorite I thought it will be the Top 1 song…. If not ,atleast the Top 2.
Thankfully only a part of the songs were being played and I did not have to wait for long!! I was sad though that even my track would be played for just a few seconds….(you lose some you win some).
Finally it came to the top 5 songs… I was pretty curious to know which those 5 songs were… quickly the 5th song was played…. Some lame movie and I did not even bother to hear the song….I wondered how people could like such songs… then realised that if there were some bikini clad women it was a definite hit!!! (MEN go figure them out… or never mind it’s a waste of time.. really!!! They don’t mind watching semi naked women, but later talk about how such women have no self respect!!! Hipocrites all of them)
Anyways I can go on and on about the before said…but I wont. The next song to my surprise was my current favorite… at the No 4 position… I wondered how that was possible….It’s a really nice song…good lyrics..music and even the singing wasn’t too bad..So I wondered how this song had reached the No 4 position when I expected it to stay at Top 1 for atleast a few more weeks…
For those who are really annoyed with me for not revealing the name of the song ..its Woh Ajanabee from the movie Train or The Train(whatever …its not like I’m going to watch that movie). The lyrics are simply amazing …I even downloaded it (First time for a Hindi movie). The music is also very catchy..
Since I had watched almost the entire show…I decided to watch the No 1 song aswell…
To my horror it was Himesh Reshammiya’s movieeeee….Aap Ka Surroor-the reel love story ( or something to that effect… the spelling mistakes here are not intentional… they have actually been made by those who made the movieee).
Can you believe that George W Bush actually said that Indians are real good spellers!!!( this comment was made by him after several Indian –American kids did really well in the spelling bee). He should probably read the title… he’ll have a different opinion I’m sure!!
My God how is it possibe that Himesh’s songs are such big hits??? That guy can’t sing to save his life… Whenever his song is being played I see some strange reaction in all the stray dog’s near my place…they start howling too… really..it’s like they recognise the voice sooo well…they have the time of their lives listening to Himesh…
I guess he’s best suited to sing for dog’s .. atleast in my opinion!!! (he howls so well)..
Now I come to the movieee…heard it’s a big hit…good for Himesh..but unfortunately sad for all of us, who have to tolerate the guy …
I haven’t watched the movie(go figure out why!!) .. So I will be commenting on the promos which I watched just to make fun of the guy(Himesh)…. He’s got such an “ I’m the Best” look on his face all the time… puhleeez…And he’s like this movie will answer all the questions like why I wear a cap or why his songs have sad endings etc etc…
First and foremost I don’t care to know the answers to these questions Himesh and I know that there are several loosers out there who probably want the answer… so give them a special screening of your moviee and let the others live in peace!!!!!
Every time I flip the channel its him… give me a break plz…
I actually thought that the movie was a comedy with fiction …. I thought since Himesh the reeel(real) joker is the hero it would be a comedy…then came the shocker.
I thought the moviee had elements of fiction…. Why you ask???
The height of imagination – A guy like Himesh dreaming that he would get a hottie like Mallika and that he would actually let go of her for someone else!!!!

A Tribute
Two of them have gone to their hometown, others are busy with work… and some others are already preparing for higher studies….
This made me wonder if things would ever become the way they were a month ago… To be frank I’m glad everyone is moving forward…pursuing their dreams and doing things which make them happy… I’m really happy for them… but somewhere in my heart I wish if it was possible for everything to be just the way it was a month ago…
Anyways I’m the kind of person to make the best out of the situation… so I decided to write about my college and my experiences as a student ….
My college has a very special place in my heart cause its probably the only place I studied where I felt “AT HOME”…. Seriously I absolutely love the place…
If I say “my school means a lot to me” or any such thing then I’d be lying… yes!!!
To be very frank I never liked my school .I never got the feeling of belonging there.
Always felt like an outsider… Never liked any of my teachers except maybe a few of them… I know its something very horrible to say.. but the truth is always bitter…
I can hardly even remember their names…. Not that I have a bad memory or any such thing but the fact that I never felt anyone of them were worth being remembered…
Always felt that most of them never had the qualities of being teachers… no patience, no consideration, no kindness… all of which I think are extremely essential to be a teacher….
Then came my classmates… not a great bunch of people… I liked only a few of them… and its not like I’m bitching behind their backs… they new exactly what I thought of them…
Then my seniors… a few were very nice.. a few bullied me… I can’t say much about them…
13 years of my life were spent here and I can say that the only good outcome of my association with this school was my friendship to Madhu… :)
Then came my PreUniversity college .. Nice place… made an amazing set of friends…Bhavna,Maha,Ketaki,Chaitra …. The first year was pretty okay… still getting to know these people… Second year was hectic, but still great fun…
The canteen was great.. used to get amazing lunches for just 10 Rs.. and the softies were yummm….
The lecturers were fun too…(told some really ***** stuff... go figure out!!!)the fact that it was an all girls college made it even more fun… we could do anything we wanted bindaas…not bothering about who’s looking etc etc….
The fests were real fun… I’m not much of the cultural fests or as a matter of fact any type of fests person(Read as: technical or techno-cultural)I’d rather be a home watching TV or lazing around my house person…..But did not want to hurt my friend’s feelings by not attending…. (Yes I'm very considerate and kind person... not some jackass who does'nt care for her friends)So I used to tag along with them….But had fun though… just because of their company..
But still there was something missing….I can’t point to what that is…but still felt kinda out of place….
Finally joined a B.E. course and came to Dr.Ambedkar Institute Of Technology the place which gave me everything I wanted….
I still remember the first day… we had chemistry lab the first hour..I did’nt know where the lab was … and probably searched the entire college.. was nervous to ask any senior… Finally found a lecturer and asked him for directions… Since I was early to college I made it on time for class… (I'm extremely punctual)
A few weeks later found an amazing set of friends… First time I felt that people just like me existed on this planet!!! (read as: those with similar likings and interests)
It was the first time I liked all of my classmates… they were a fun set of people… a few from north east with really funny names… All their surnames began with Lal….
My very close friends from this college are Mrudula, Sahana, Prakruthi,Prathima,Preethi,Divya, Nuthana,Kusuma…. Had great fun with all of you…
Most importantly was at peace with myself… found a great bunch of friends and a wonderful college……..
The lecturers were great too… neither too strict or lenient…just the right combination of both.. (I'm sure everyone wants the lecturers to be strict sometimes!!! Ok maybe not... but I'm weird... I know that)....Very supportive and considerate… qualities I had never found in my teachers before…. (don't think that I'm trying to butter them... I'm already out of college)Even the non-teaching staff was great…(nooooooo I'm really not kidding!!!) They helped us so much throughout…. Especially for our project….can’t thank them enough for all their help..
My college Dr.Ambedkar Insitute Of Technology changed me and my life…. A biiig THANKS to all of you who were a part of my journey from being the gawky teenager to a sensitive adult… THANK YOU!!! :) :) :)
